Fujitsu provides the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force with a system to manage supplies for about 45,000 people in real time

Fujitsu said a core logistics system for the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force started operating in May.

The system tracks ammunition, medicines, food, and ship and aircraft parts in real time for about 45,000 personnel.

Built on SAP Japan’s S/4HANA ERP and Defense & Security solutions, it aims to improve forecasting and efficiency.

It is also the first SAP ERP deployment by a central government ministry or agency in Japan.
