Rivian sets official launch date for Rivian R2

Rivian says the R2 compact electric SUV will officially launch on June 9.

Pre-order holders will get order invites based on reservation timing and location, with deliveries starting after orders are confirmed.

The first available variant will be the R2 Performance with Launch Package; lower trims will come later.

Demo drives also begin June 9, while Rivian says its Europe timeline remains delayed.
