Over 30 companies including NVIDIA and Microsoft establish the “Open Secure AI Alliance” to jointly develop OpenAI defense tools

NVIDIA and more than 30 partners, including Microsoft, IBM, Red Hat and Cisco, have launched the Open Secure AI Alliance.

The group will co-develop defense tools and cybersecurity infrastructure for open models and open-weight AI systems.

Built on efforts from the Linux Foundation and OpenSSF, the alliance aims to create an open defensive stack for safer model operations and vulnerability fixes.

The move could accelerate AI security implementation and standardization across the industry.
