Slack’s vision for an “Agentic Work OS” includes new features like AI skills and deep research

Salesforce Japan has launched new Slack AI features in Japan, including AI Skills, Deep Research, Salesforce Actions, and Memory for Business Plus and Enterprise Plus users.

Slack is being positioned as an “Agentic Work OS,” bringing AI task execution, CRM integration, and personalized assistance directly into chat.

Additional capabilities such as Slackbot Charts, Today View, agent orchestration, desktop context awareness, meeting note-taking, voice commands, and MCP client support are planned or in beta.

The update aims to reduce app switching and manual work while strengthening Slack’s role as a central work hub within the Salesforce ecosystem.
