Google preps ‘Gemini Agent’ as your ’24/7 digital partner’

Google appears to be testing a revamped Gemini Agent, internally called “Remy,” in the latest Google app beta.

The upgrade would let Gemini proactively handle multi-step tasks, use connected apps and personal context, and track schedules and to-dos.

It could also take actions like messaging, sharing documents, and making purchases, pushing Gemini beyond chat into a true AI agent.

The move could make Google’s assistant far more useful, but it also raises new privacy and safety concerns.
