Amazon won’t release Fire Sticks that support sideloading anymore

Amazon is moving its Fire streaming devices from Fire OS to Linux-based Vega OS, and new Fire Sticks will no longer support consumer sideloading.

App-installation rules are also being tightened, cutting off common workarounds for installing apps outside Amazon’s official channels.

Amazon has begun blocking apps flagged by anti-piracy groups.

The shift is designed to curb piracy while giving Amazon tighter control over its hardware ecosystem.
