Mongolian power transmission project crossing the Yangtze River for Shanghai starts construction in Shanghai, set to set five world records - IT之家

The supporting river-crossing project for the Mongolia-to-Shanghai power line officially broke ground in Chongming, Shanghai.

It will build a 12.2-km dedicated cross-river power tunnel to support UHV DC transmission.

The project will help deliver clean energy from Inner Mongolia’s Kubuqi Desert base to Shanghai’s main grid.

Once completed, it is expected to transmit about 40 billion kWh a year and strengthen Shanghai’s clean power supply.
