Introducing GPT-Rosalind for life sciences research

OpenAI launched GPT-Rosalind, a frontier reasoning model built for life sciences research.

It also introduced a Life Sciences research plugin for Codex, with access via ChatGPT, Codex, and the API for qualified customers.

The model is designed to help scientists synthesize evidence, generate hypotheses, plan experiments, and use scientific tools more effectively.

OpenAI says the goal is to accelerate early-stage discovery and improve downstream outcomes in biology and drug development.
