Android Auto is getting a redesign that takes up your whole display, adds widget support, and more

Google is redesigning Android Auto to better fill car screens with a full-display layout and a floating app bar.

The update adds a more polished Material 3 Expressive look, map-based dashboard overlays, and support for phone widgets.

Google also teased future additions like video apps and Gemini features, though timing for the rollout is still unclear.
