Ego-Lite: The Open-Source Browser Built for Humans and AI Agents

CitroLabs has released Ego-Lite, an open-source desktop browser built for human and AI co-browsing.

It lets people and coding agents share the same authenticated session while the agent works in isolated background tabs.

The goal is to cut common browser automation pain points such as login friction, window hijacking, and heavy resource use.

Ego-Lite also includes a browser skill for agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex.
