Curiosity Found Strange 'Dragon Scale' Rocks on Mars, and Scientists Are Excited

NASA’s Curiosity rover spotted an unusual honeycomb-like rock pattern near Antofagasta crater on Mars.

Scientists say the formations resemble polygonal cracks seen on Earth and elsewhere on Mars, likely tied to repeated drying.

The rocks could preserve evidence of ancient wet-dry cycles on Mars.

If confirmed, they would strengthen the case that Mars once had environments capable of sustaining liquid water.
