Android 17 is getting redesigned emoji, and Google is clearly never bringing back the blobs [Gallery]

Google is refreshing Android 17 emoji with a new 3D look and deeper textures.

The new Noto 3D library will roll out first to Pixel phones later this year.

Google says the redesign will update emoji across its products.

The older blob-inspired style is not coming back.
