God of War: Laufey Brings a New Hero to PlayStation's Flagship Series

Sony unveiled a new God of War game at State of Play, with more than 20 minutes of gameplay.

The story shifts focus from Kratos to Laufey, also known as Faye, in an afterlife called Everywhen or Valhalla.

The footage featured gods from Egyptian and Mongolian mythology, including Sekhmet and Begtse, plus unusual combat helpers like a sentient cube and ribbon.

Sony confirmed the game is coming to PS5, but did not announce a release date or price.
