NASA Plans Up to Three More Lunar Missions Before the End of 2026

NASA outlined a preliminary plan for up to three Moon Base missions before the end of 2026.

Moon Base I would fly science payloads on a Blue Origin lander, while Moon Base II would deploy Astrolab’s FLIP rover on Astrobotic’s Griffin lander.

Moon Base III would study lunar swirls and carry international payloads aboard an Intuitive Machines lander.

The schedule follows Artemis II and an updated timeline that now targets astronauts returning to the Moon in 2028.

The missions are meant to help NASA prove commercial lunar hardware and surface conditions for a sustained Moon presence.
