Dozens of Robotaxis in China Stop in Roads and Highways, Causing Crashes

A system failure in Wuhan left over 100 Baidu Apollo Go robotaxis stranded, with dozens stopping in traffic and on highways.

Footage and dashcam videos show many halted vehicles and at least three rear-end collisions linked to the outage.

Some passengers were trapped for up to 90 minutes and reported unresponsive customer support and a disabled SOS function.

Wuhan authorities said the incident was likely caused by a system malfunction and are investigating.
