Amazon expands AI audio with Alexa+... going head-to-head with Google NotebookLM

Amazon has added an AI podcast generation feature to Alexa+, letting users pick a topic and receive a podcast-style audio episode with AI hosts.

The content is built using data from media partners, including Reuters, AP, The Washington Post, Vox, and Politico.

The move expands generative AI into voice services and could strengthen Amazon’s position in personalized audio content.

It also puts Amazon in closer competition with Google NotebookLM and Microsoft Edge’s AI-powered audio features.
