Snowflake acquires enterprise MCP company Natoma... supports secure AI agent connectivity

Snowflake said it will acquire Natoma, an enterprise Model Context Protocol platform for AI agents.

The deal is designed to add native governance and identity controls for connecting AI tools and agents to business systems.

Customers would be able to link SaaS apps, cloud environments, VPCs, and on-prem infrastructure with policy and auditability.

The acquisition strengthens Snowflake’s enterprise AI stack, including Cortex Agents, Snowflake Intelligence, and Cortex Code.
