United States Bans Chinese Humanoid & Quadruped Robots, Citing National Security

The FCC expanded its Covered List to include Chinese humanoid and quadruped robots, as well as connected power inverters.

New foreign-made models will generally be unable to get the authorization needed to be imported or sold in the U.S.

Already authorized products remain exempt, and some federal purchases or conditional approvals may still be possible.

The move could shut Chinese robotics firms out of the U.S. market while boosting American competitors.
