Netflix Has Reportedly Greenlit A Prequel For 'The Crown'

Netflix has reportedly greenlit a prequel to The Crown with Left Bank Pictures.

Peter Morgan is expected to return to write the series.

The story will trace the British royal family from 1901, starting with Queen Victoria’s death, through the lead-up to the original show.

The project could extend one of Netflix’s most successful prestige dramas and deepen its royal-history slate.
