Google Wallet adds three permission levels to digital car key sharing

Google Wallet now lets users share digital car keys with three permission levels: co-owner, guest, and service.

The update also makes it easier to transfer a car key between a user’s own devices.

The feature is supported on select Android phones, including Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices.

It only works with vehicles from certain automakers, such as Audi, BMW, and Tesla.
