I used this hidden Google Pay feature to automate credit card bill payments

The author used Google Pay in India to add and automate payments for most of their credit cards using the Bills section.

Google Pay India uses the UPI system and the credit card biller relies on the Bharat Bill Payment System (Bharat Connect).

Payments made through the Google Pay BBPS biller show instant confirmation and are credited to card accounts immediately.

American Express India was not supported by the Google Pay biller, so those cards still require manual payment.
