Data Is the Key to AI Transformation… Government Puts All-Out Effort into Securing High-Quality AI Data

At a ministerial data meeting chaired by the prime minister, the government discussed stronger policies to support the AI era.

Plans include expanding high-quality reasoning and safety data, as well as industry-specific datasets, to bolster the AI ecosystem.

The government also reviewed wider public-data access, an AI Hub overhaul, and a “data highway” to improve data sharing and use.

Officials considered reforms to privacy and copyright rules, along with support measures for SMEs and startups.
