Ozempic heirs want an F1 Grand Prix: they will spend 500 million euros expanding their village circuit

Heirs to the Novo Nordisk fortune plan to invest about 510 million euros to expand Padborg Park in Denmark.

The project would turn the current track into a 6,006-meter circuit with 18 turns, 100,000 seats, hotels, and other facilities.

The goal is to secure FIA Grade 1 approval and make the venue eligible to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix.

If approved, it could bring Denmark its first F1 race, but the path to homologation and a spot on the calendar is highly competitive.
