Alibaba Introduces “Qwen XiaoJiuWo” Avatar to Unify AI Assistant Ecosystem

Alibaba unveiled Qwen XiaoJiuWo, a digital avatar that will serve as the unified face of its Qwen AI ecosystem.

The avatar will first appear as the main user interface in the Qwen app, then expand to Taobao, Fliggy, Amap, and Alipay.

Alibaba has also filed related trademarks covering AI services, chatbot software, and humanoid robotics.

QuestMobile said the Qwen app reached 166 million monthly active users by March 2026.

The move signals Alibaba’s push to link its AI products under one avatar-led experience and deepen ecosystem adoption.
