Nvidia’s Vera CPU Signals a Bigger Threat to Intel and AMD

Nvidia unveiled Vera, its first standalone data center CPU, as part of the Vera Rubin AI server platform.

Vera is built to work closely with Nvidia GPUs over NVLink, reducing reliance on separate Intel and AMD server chips.

Nvidia also introduced a new Arm-based laptop chip for Windows PCs, expanding further into premium computing.

Investors sold Intel and AMD on fears that Nvidia is taking control of more of the AI infrastructure stack.
