YouTube is experimenting with a smarter way to watch videos faster

YouTube is testing 'Auto Speed', an experiment that automatically adjusts playback speed for Premium subscribers.

Subscribers can enable the experiment in YouTube's experimental features and Playback controls.

Auto Speed runs only on Android and iOS and works only with English-language videos.

The experiment is time-limited to April 27 and is rolling out in stages, so availability varies.
