US: Donald Trump administration bans new humanoid robot imports from China

The FCC added foreign-made humanoid and quadruped robots, plus certain connected power inverters, to its Covered List over national security concerns.

The move blocks new imports and sales that require agency approval, but does not affect products already authorized.

The policy is aimed at reducing risks to communications, critical infrastructure, and supply chains amid U.S.-China competition.

It could slow Chinese robotics firms in the U.S. while giving American companies more room to compete in a fast-growing AI-linked market.
