Call a Taxi Using QR Codes at Hotels and Shops — DIDI "Easy Dispatch"

DiDi Mobility Japan began offering 'DiDi かんたん配車' nationwide on April 7.

Hotel and restaurant staff can arrange taxis without phone calls using a proxy dispatch system.

Riders request taxis by scanning a QR code or opening a link on a PC; no app download is required.

The service provides two modes—proxy dispatch and self-dispatch—and proxy dispatch can arrange up to 10 taxis at once.

A pilot at over 100 Okinawa facilities improved dispatch success and shortened staff handling time (about 10→2 minutes); QR codes also replaced communication costs and dedicated space in some cases, and the service supports English, Chinese, and Korean.
