Minnesota Keeps Nation's First 'AI Nude Image Ban' in Effect... xAI Injunction Denied

A federal court in Minnesota rejected xAI’s request to temporarily block the state’s AI nude-image ban, so the law is set to remain in effect for now.

The judge said the challenge was filed too late, but did not rule on whether the law is unconstitutional.

A further hearing is scheduled for Aug. 19, when the law’s legality may be examined more fully.

The decision suggests the first U.S. law targeting AI-generated nude images could stay in force without an early court halt.
