Scientists just broke a wireless speed record that could shape the future of 6G

Tokushima University researchers demonstrated a single-channel wireless link at 560GHz reaching 112Gbps.

The system used soliton microcombs and temperature-stabilized hardware to generate a cleaner terahertz signal.

The result points to much higher-capacity wireless links for future 6G networks.

It could be especially useful for mobile backhaul, the links that move data between network sites.
