The Space Project, a space economy simulator where you observe hundreds of autonomous ships trading, mining, hauling cargo, and abandoning bases from a god's-eye view

The sandbox simulator “The Space Project” has been released, letting autonomous spacecraft trade, mine, haul cargo, and manage bases.

It currently runs on about 485 AI agents and is designed to scale to more than 100,000.

The developer says it was built together with Claude.

The project is drawing attention as a way to visualize how large-scale autonomous agents shape resources, prices, and trade routes.
