China's Hanyuan-2 debuts as the 'world's first' dual-core quantum computer — 200-qubit claims incredible power efficiency, but lacks critical performance benchmarks

Chinese researchers unveiled Hanyuan-2, a cabinet-sized dual-core neutral-atom quantum computer with 200 qubits.

CAS Cold Atom Technology says the system uses two arrays that can split workloads or reserve one core for error correction.

The company also claims power consumption under 7 kW, highlighting an efficient form factor for quantum hardware.

But it has not released standard benchmark data or a peer-reviewed paper, so its real performance remains unproven.

Without metrics such as gate fidelity and coherence time, it is hard to compare Hanyuan-2 with leading Western systems.
