Spain temporarily bans prediction market platforms Polymarket and Kalshi over lack of gambling licenses

Spain has temporarily blocked access to Polymarket and Kalshi while investigating them for operating without gambling licenses.

Consumer protection authorities launched disciplinary proceedings and said the platforms offered gambling-like services without required approval.

Domestic telecom operators were ordered to restrict access during the probe.
