Money Forward launches AI agent for back office 'AI Cowork'

Money Forward announced 'AI Cowork', an AI-agent service for back-office support and opened pre-orders; service planned for July.

The service supports accounting, tax, finance, payroll and legal back-office tasks via natural-language instructions.

An AI orchestrator selects and coordinates multiple agents; users can start routine tasks from an agent list.

Built-in features include proactive task proposals for periodic work, an internal AI helpdesk, guardrails, Draft & Approve, and AI audit logs.

Provided as part of Money Forward Cloud, it requires no MCP server, can operate autonomously, uses Anthropic's Claude Agent SDK and Claude API, and leverages MCP for integrations; partner and user-made agents are supported.
