Ubisoft confirms Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag remake reveal: ‘The iconic pirate adventure returns’

Ubisoft said it will unveil a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, titled Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, in a livestream later this week.

The announcement follows months of rumors and a prior teaser image, effectively confirming the long-rumored return of the 2013 game.

The original Black Flag followed Edward Kenway during the Golden Age of Piracy and remains one of the series’ most popular entries.

The franchise is now being guided at Vantage Studios by several developers with ties to Black Flag, underscoring the remake’s importance for the series’ future.
