Thousands of Windows machines are being replaced in schools with MacBook Neo and iPads

Kansas City Public Schools is moving to Apple hardware, starting with more than 4,500 MacBook Neo laptops for older students.

The district plans to replace over 30,000 existing devices over time, including a mix of iPads and MacBook Airs.

The rollout is a major test of whether Apple’s lower-cost Macs can win school contracts from Chromebooks and budget Windows PCs.
