All-New Apple Home Hub Reportedly Launching as Soon as October

Apple is reportedly preparing a new smart home hub for launch between October and early next year.

The device would combine a speaker with a 7-inch display and use a new tvOS-based interface.

It is expected to offer personalized views via facial recognition, plus FaceTime, HomeKit controls, music, calendars, and intercom features.

If released, it would mark a more ambitious push into smart home hardware and sharpen competition with Amazon and other rivals.
