AMD’s upcoming MI400 and other AI servers are also expected to drive a sharp rise in LPDDR usage.

Memory makers such as Micron and SK hynix are expanding output, but supply could still tighten for handset makers.

The shift could push up LPDDR prices and increase the risk of smartphone component shortages.
