Waymo touts ‘elevator-like’ doors, ‘living room’ feel on new vehicles

Waymo unveiled Ojai, a new robotaxi with wider doors, low steps, a flat floor, and easier boarding features.

The cabin adds comfort and accessibility upgrades, including large displays, braille support, and roomier seating.

Ojai runs on Waymo’s sixth-generation driver system, which the company says should improve performance in snow.

Waymo plans limited free rides in select cities first, while continuing to tout strong safety results for its existing tech.
