iOS 26.5: New features, release date, more

Apple has released the first iOS 26.5 beta to developers and public testers, with a full rollout expected in early May.

The update lays groundwork for Apple Maps ads, plus a new Suggested Places feature in Maps.

Apple is also retesting RCS end-to-end encryption and adding new App Store subscription billing options.

Other changes include EU-related features, easier Bluetooth pairing for Magic accessories, and a few smaller tweaks.
