Your Custom Feed is YouTube's answer to a problem that doesn't really exist

YouTube is testing “Your Custom Feed,” an AI-generated homepage feed for some U.S. users with watch and search history enabled and the app set to English.

The feature appears as a homepage chip and lets users prompt YouTube to build a personalized feed for goals like learning, exercise, meditation, or hobbies.

Users can pin the custom feed next to the standard homepage feed and edit it anytime, but only one custom feed can exist at a time.

The rollout raises questions because it overlaps heavily with existing search and filters, making its purpose feel unclear.
