Unofficial Notepad++ macOS app forced to rebrand after creator objects

An independent macOS app mimicking Notepad++ was told to stop using the Notepad++ name.

Project creator Don Ho said the port was unauthorized and misleading, emphasizing that Notepad++ remains Windows-only.

Developer Andrey Letov agreed to rebrand the app and update its branding.

The change helps prevent confusion between the unofficial macOS port and the original Notepad++ project.
