Google says 75 percent of its new code is now written by AI

Google says AI now writes 75% of its new code, with human developers reviewing it afterward.

That share has climbed sharply over the past year, and Google says AI helped complete a code migration much faster than before.

Google engineers use Gemini models, while some DeepMind staff also rely on Anthropic’s Claude Code.

The company is moving toward more agentic software workflows as it builds its own alternative coding tools.
