RFK Jr. won't back CDC director on vaccines as agency scraps positive data

RFK Jr. would not say he would keep the CDC director if vaccine disputes continue.

The CDC reportedly shelved a scientifically reviewed study on the 2025–2026 COVID-19 vaccine.

The study found the shot cut emergency or urgent care visits by 50% and hospitalizations by 55%.

The report had cleared review for MMWR publication but was held up by acting CDC director Jay Bhattacharya.

The episode has raised fresh concerns about political interference and possible suppression of vaccine evidence.
