Japan’s AI security requires a multi-layered approach — OpenAI

OpenAI said it will strengthen AI-powered cyber defense in Japan through closer cooperation with the government and key institutions.

The company emphasized strict access controls and safer deployment of specialized models and defensive tools.

The effort is aimed at helping Japanese government agencies, companies, and critical infrastructure use AI securely as attacks and defenses both become more advanced.
