Keeping Up With the Windrunners: How World of Warcraft Is Following In Star Wars' Footsteps

The Windrunner family has appeared across nearly every World of Warcraft expansion since 1996.

Alleria, Vereesa, and Sylvanas were introduced across novels and games between 1996 and 2004 and later established as sisters.

Sylvanas has been a prominent figure in multiple expansions, while Vereesa and Alleria have had varying levels of presence.

The Midnight expansion is set in Quel’Thalas and continues the series' long focus on the Windrunner family.
