Imperial Hotel Tokyo Delays Demolition of Tower Building by Six Years; Uchisaiwaicho Redevelopment Area

Imperial Hotel Tokyo announced demolition of its Tower Wing will begin around the end of fiscal 2030, instead of the originally planned fiscal 2024 start.

The Tower Wing is part of the Uchisaiwaicho 1-chome redevelopment and is located in the north district of that project.

The initial plan called for rebuilding the Tower Wing during fiscal 2024–2030.

Until demolition begins, hotel operations (all guest rooms and banquet facilities) and real estate leasing at the Tower Wing will continue.

Completion of the entire redevelopment area is scheduled for fiscal 2037 or later.
