"Nozzlegate" erupts as Prusa CORE One 3D printer kits arrive with soft steel nozzles — Bondtech admits machining flaws with no quick fix

Bondtech says the Prusa CORE One+ INDX upgrade kits shipped with nitrocarburized steel nozzles, not the hardened steel nozzles that were advertised.

The company says manufacturing issues made the intended material hard to machine reliably, so it used a substitute that works in general but is less suitable for abrasive filaments.

An immediate replacement solution is not ready, and a proper fix could still be months away.

The labeling mismatch matters most for early buyers who expected hardened nozzles for abrasive-material printing.
