Police corporal created AI porn from driver's license pics

Stephen Kamnik, a Pennsylvania state police corporal, pleaded guilty to multiple crimes.

He pleaded guilty to going through coworkers' underwear, possessing a stolen gun, and having child sexual abuse material on his hard drives.

Investigators found he used AI tools to create more than 3,000 pornographic deepfakes, including one featuring a district court judge.

Many deepfakes were based on photos illegally downloaded from state databases, including driver's license photos, and some were made at police barracks on state-owned devices.

He was arrested last year and charged with nine felonies and six misdemeanors; the attorney general said he misused Commonwealth computer resources for sexual use and used JNET to get hundreds of female photos.
