Apple releases macOS 26.6 developer beta 1

Apple has seeded macOS 26.6 developer beta 1, build 25G5028f, shortly after macOS 26.5.

The update is still under review, but it appears to be a largely maintenance-focused release.

That suggests Apple is prioritizing bug fixes and stability as macOS moves toward its next cycle.

The beta also comes ahead of WWDC and the broader lead-up to macOS 27.
